Privacy policy
We only use your details to answer you, prepare your quote and look after your installation. We never sell them or pass them on for marketing.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is ADV Instal Portugal, Lda (NIF ___ ___ ___), [Morada da sede], [código postal] [localidade], Portugal.
For anything related to your personal data, write to jack@advinstal.com. We reply within 30 days at the latest.
What data we collect
When you contact us (website form, WhatsApp, phone or e-mail): your name, town, phone number, preferred language and anything you choose to tell us about your home.
When we prepare a quote: name, phone number, address, company name (optional) and your annual electricity consumption, plus the system we propose and its price.
When you become a client: the details needed for the contract, invoicing (including your NIF), installation, warranty and annual inspections. With your separate consent only: photos taken with you after signing, for our presentation, website and social media.
When you visit the website: our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address and browser in server logs, for security. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote – steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To carry out the installation, warranty, servicing and annual inspections – performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
To issue invoices and keep accounting records – legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
To follow up on a quote we have sent you, keep our records organised and defend our rights if needed – our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time.
To use photos of you or your home in our materials – your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting anything else.
Who we share it with
Your data stays within ADV Instal Portugal. We share it only with the people and services needed to work for you: our installation teams, our certified accountant, and the IT services we use – Netlify (website hosting and quote records), Google Workspace (e-mail) and WhatsApp/Meta, if you choose to contact us that way.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union (for example in the United States). In that case the transfer is covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We will only give data to public authorities when the law requires it. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and quotes that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months after our last contact.
Client data: for as long as the contract, warranty and inspections last, and afterwards for the periods required by tax and accounting law.
Data used with your consent: until you withdraw it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Just write to jack@advinstal.com.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
Security
Access to your data is limited to the people who need it for their work, and we use providers with recognised security standards.
